Helping Peter Chambeshi: A Story of Hope

Peter Chambeshi, a 10-year-old boy, has been struggling with malnutrition. Due to his weakened immune system, a sore at the back of his head has taken longer than usual to heal. After a medical examination, doctors ruled out cancer and recommended a nutritious diet to aid his recovery.

Sister Mutinta from Musonda Falls Assembly noticed Peter at church and reached out to the Share Africa Zambia for assistance. His parents, though willing, could not afford a proper diet due to their financial struggles. Despite having access to land in the village, poor soil fertility and a lack of farming inputs resulted in poor harvests, leaving the family with little to no food.

Recognizing the urgency of Peter’s situation, SAZ stepped in to help, even though the church’s support allocation for March 2025 had already been distributed. Two extra 5kg bags of CSB fortified with moringa to Musonda Falls in Mwense, to aid Peter’s recovery.

Sister Mutinta received the CSB on Peter’s behalf and expressed deep gratitude to SAZ for their generosity. She remained hopeful for his swift recovery.

While Share Africa Zambia may not be able to feed all the poor and hungry in the country, lives like Peter Chambeshi’s are being impacted—one child at a time.  Every act of kindness makes a difference, and Peter Chambeshi’s story is a testament to that impact and making a positive change in the lives of children and the poor.
